December meeting: 5 December 2015

Christmas wasn't born

We're planning, we're fixing dates and, as always, we're asking the overwhelming questions. And possibly finding answers.

At our December meeting we'll be looking forward to 2016 and thinking what topics, speakers and other events we'd like to set up. This will not be a boring business meeting, more a chance to step back, reflect and choose some high-quality Saturday stimulation.

Feel free to bring diaries, ideas and contact books.

We also have a brand new, non-realists' Christmas Quiz. Contrary to many people's assumptions, Christmas wasn't born—it was made. Explore who made it, when and how with a fun, thought-provoking quiz going back to the earliest days with theology, tradition, music and food thrown in.

There'll also be a chance for other readings and discussion points. Will there be mince pies? Good question.

Everyone welcome - existing fans, newcomers and the simply curious.

The Garden Room at Great Meeting Chapel on Saturday 5 December 2.30 - 4.30 pm

Doors open, with drinks available, from 2.00.

The chapel is at 5 East Bond Street, Leicester, LE1 4SX (just across the road from John Lewis). There is a small (free) car park. A donation of £3 per person covers room hire and other costs.

For more information, use the contact details on the right. We're very friendly.
