October meeting: Saturday 31 October 2015

 Beyond Forgiving

Ginn Fourie and Letlapa Mphalele form an unlikely pair: a black atheist man and a white Christian woman.

One has suffered directly from actions of the other, but both have been victims—and risen beyond their pain.

That's the background to a moving and thought-provoking documentary film, Beyond Forgiving, which Peter and Joy Stribblehill will introduce as the highlight of our October meeting. Set in South Africa, the film tells of the couple's journey to bring healing and reconciliation to their country.

Watch the two-minute trailer below, or view it on YouTube. Or just come along to experience and discuss a fascinating insight into humanity, community and forgiveness.

Everyone welcome - existing fans, newcomers and the simply curious.
