August meeting: Saturday 8 August 2015

Out of our Minds re-explored

We're reviewing the Sea of Faith network national conference. It's an opportunity for those who were there to reflect further. And a chance for those who didn't make it to get a flavour of the talks, discussion and exploration.

The conference title was Out of Our Minds. What Can We Offer Towards a Healthy World? Speakers included David Boulton, author, journalist and broadcaster, and Andy Pakula, a non-theistic Unitarian minister.

As an added bonus, we'll also have a shortened version of at least one of the workshops presented. Kath Parsons has kindly agreed to reprise her session titled Big ideas in short books for little children. What is a growth mindset? The opposite of a fixed mindset. Kath explores what this means for learners, old and young, with the help of some of her favourite picture book stories.

Everyone welcome - existing fans, newcomers and the simply curious.
