September meeting: Saturday 23 September 2017

Being Human

What makes us human? Do we make and control our Gods or do they make and control us? What kinds of human values endure? Which should?

Plenty to talk about at this year’s Sea of Faith conference. And plenty of chance at our next meeting to carry on the exploration. It doesn’t matter whether you attended the conference or not. Or whether you read the speeches in the September issue of Sofia. If you want to talk about what it means to be human, that’s enough.

We’ll also have a thought-provoking video whose origins lie in the launch of the network. The Sea of Faith—The Quest Goes On has insights into today’s network and reflections from Don Cupitt on his own thinking. Watch it now, or wait for the day.

Everyone welcome - existing fans, newcomers and the simply curious.
